What is a Little?

Littles are youth, between the ages of 6 to 13, who can benefit from having an additional positive adult role model. Littles are referred to Big Brothers Big Sisters either through a parent, guardian or teacher. Littles can come from single and two-parent homes, from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. The reason behind a match is that a parent, guardian or teacher believes that a child could benefit from the presence of an additional caring adult in his/her life. The parent or guardian gives permission for the child to participate. There are three types of mentoring, Community-based, Site-based, and Sports Buddies.

Little Brothers and Sisters must:

  • Be between the ages of 6 and 13.

  • Be able to commit to at least one year to the program.

  • Want to have a Big Brother or Big Sister.

This form is for signing up to receive an application for becoming a Little Brother/Little Sister (It is not an official application for our program). The information you provide will be used to send you an official application form and information about Big Brothers Big Sisters.
