Big Brothers, Big Sisters and Big Couples are all kinds of people -- from high school and college students to business people to retirees -- who volunteer to spend time with children. Bigs sometimes spend as little as one hour each week with a child in need. Through this mentoring program, both children and adults share everyday experiences that enrich the lives of all involved.
All it takes is one 45 minute lunch or an hour after school out of your week to laugh, talk or play a board game with your Little. Through simple friendships, Bigs experience the joy of helping children discover a world of possibilities and opportunities. Local businesses can become involved in our “Lunch-time” program and become part of our Companies Making a Big Impact.
Program Information »
Bigs provide Littles with one-on-one time and attention between two to four hours a week. Together they enjoy every day, low-cost, no-cost activities such as taking a bike ride, baking cookies and raking leaves. During these outings, they cultivate relationships that provide Littles with skills to manage everyday challenges.
If this sounds like you, please provide the following information and you will be contacted by a Big Brothers Big Sister representative shortly.
Do you like fishing? Watching sporting events? Or playing a game of baseball? As a Sport’s Buddy you participate in a group setting, providing positive experiences and support to an area child.
You will be helping a kid with: sportsmanship, self-esteem, and team work. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin has partnered with area sports teams. These sports teams will be providing free tickets to events. You and your Little will join other matches either watching and/or participating in a sporting activity.
This form is for signing up to receive more information about becoming a Big Brother/Big Sister (It is not an official application for our program). A professional staff member will follow up with you shortly to answer questions, share more information or start you in the enrollment process.
