Taste of the Town 2008

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin is holding our 16th annual Taste of the Town event at the Radisson Hotel on Friday, November 7, 2008. Our goal is to raise $65,000 for the agency. We are expecting over 550 people gathering to sample delicious dishes prepared by the area’s finest caterers and served by local celebrities.

The evening will begin with a PREMIERE Chef Showdown event sponsored by American Foods Group. Guest will sip on wine, while Larry London from Big Tomatoes goes head to head in a cook off competition with Lori VanDeusen from Cheffetta’s . Each chef is given 35 minutes to prepare a delicious dish from a secret ingredient that will be revealed just before the cook off begins. The audience will sample each chef's dish, while serving as judges and voting on their favorite.

Following the excitement of the Chef Showdown, the main event will start at 7:00pm and guests will have the opportunity to mingle around a martini sculpture while tasting food from a variety of the area's finest caterers and restaurants. Local celebrities including Murphy in the Morning and Katie, CBS 5's Tammy Elliot & Bill Walsh along with many others will be serving the food.

Winners will be chosen by judges in each category as the Best of the Town. Those who won the Best of the Town last year were invited to come back as judges for this year's event. The winners last year were:
